Public slipways near me1/4/2023 ![]() If you want to leave your car and quite valuable trailer for a few days you are better off going to a boatyard and pay for the slip and parking. If you have a small craft and only want to just go out for the day this is ok. #Public slipways near me freeThere are free slipways on the Broads but often they will only take small craft. Really got slipway although I have to disconnect the brakes to get boat and Trailer up the flood bank. Not sure of set up here now.FerryInn might try and charge you for mooring whilst you sort trailer out. Have you looked at the one opposite Ferry Inn. Ideal for getting on to Ant and Barton Broad. There are a few Parish Council ones around, some of which may be free, but it often needs a call to the Clerk of the Council to make an appointment to unlock the barrier. Most slipways are in privately owned boatyards, and the boatyard owners, reasonably enough, want a fee for their use. I cant find the Pug lane one and others I've come across want a fee.
